Unlike our full learning kete, which offer a complete series of resources and activities, our learning and teaching experiences are designed to be short, simple, and focused. Each one centres on a single resource, or hands‑on activity, making them quick to set up and easy to use in any learning environment.

Our learning and teaching experiences give kaiako practical, ready‑to‑go ideas that still support rich learning, but without the time or preparation needed for a full kete.

Exploration - Natural World 

This resource invites tamariki to explore their centre and outdoor spaces through curiosity and play. As they discover textures, patterns, sounds, and natural features, they build a strong sense of belonging and connection with the environment. This activity nurtures observation skills, early scientific thinking, and problem solving, while encouraging respect and empathy through “look, don’t touch” practices that protect living creatures.
